![]() The wooden version was assembled in three pieces – the base that was cut out with a band saw and the shallow pockets routed out – the vertical which was cut with a bandsaw and a rectangular hole drilled/cut out from the top – the brush hook and razor hole mount that was cut with a bandsaw, drilled, and shaped with a lot of sanding. I didn’t feel the need to make any changes to the design so I moved ahead and created a copy out of cherry wood that I stained with a color that I can no longer remember the name of (but it was chosen purely to try and match color to the bathroom cabinets that I had at the time). The head of brush stand suits for brushes with handle thickness about 37 mm. I used the 3D printed version for a couple of weeks to ensure I liked the design and that it was functional. Luxury shaving brush stand for those, who like wet shaving. ![]() The 3D print turned out great only needing a little support material for the brush mount and razor hole mounting point. ![]() ![]() Recommended Settings: Layer Height: 0.2mm. This was done to provide the brush with as much exposure to air as possible, thus improve dry times, which is good for the hygiene of your brush. Having easy access to my own 3D printers I fabricated a printed version of my shave stand design for testing before I wanted to invest time, effort, and money into creating a final wooden version. The stand is sturdy yet minimal in design.
